On My Website’s Creation
In which I discuss my motivations for creating this website.
I was late writing my 2023 New Year’s Resolutions. Between international holiday travel, work deadlines, and life events, it was difficult to find the time to critically reflect on what I wanted to achieve this year. Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, I finally found a moment to scribble some vague notes that would be organized weeks later. The result was fifteen sticky notes pasted haphazardly in a spiral-bound notebook. Despite their large array of topics (ranging from “Take a Climate Finance Course” to “Try Underwater Photography”), my resolutions hinted at a common theme – to learn, grow, and develop my skills across my professional and personal interests.
In keeping with that premise – this website represents a space for me to flex my curiosity and to explore topics surrounding the environment, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and data science. I plan to ask questions that I can only begin to answer. In so doing, I will push the boundaries of my current knowledge while tracking my progress and continuously questioning my progression.
In the spirit of exploration, I want to note that I expect to make mistakes - coding errors, theoretical blunders, grammatical mistakes, you name it. The learning process is never complete. As I continue to enhance my professional coding, writing, research, and presentation skills, I hope this blog will help me to not only become a better, more well-rounded researcher, but also receive feedback from my readers, mentors, and friends – past, present, and future.
Thank you, in advance, for visiting and for taking the time to read my work. I look forward to embarking on this journey with you.
